New laptop,pleeeeeease.

January of 2014, I prayed for a new laptop since my netbook was running like a turtle. That was also the time when I learned to ask for material things from God (I was too shy before or should I say, I limited his capabilities of giving me what I need). Teheeee. After months and several praying/fasting, my old Asus turtle yet trusy netbook is still with me. No new laptop and its charger malfunctioned.

Fast forwaaaaaaaaard.

January 4, 2015, I once again included the same item in my prayer and fasting list, but this time with ‘FASTER SPECS’ as its description. Ten days later, a thief entered our humble abode and stole my Asus netbook and its accessories. I was surely troubled at first, but then I realized that this ‘might’ be God’s way of answering my prayer. Instead of crying over Asus, the lost files and all the memories that we’ve shared, I just thank God.

And before January 2015 bid farewell, my prayer was answered. New laptop with FASTER SPECS.

Learnings:
-When we pray, all we need is to trust in Him. He is in control.
-His ways are not our ways. Even our prayers are not being answered in the same way that we wanted to.
-I learned to forgive the thief not just for stealing my laptop, but for the sleepless nights that I acquired due to fear that he/she might come back again.
-I also learned that there are things which are taken away from us, for a purpose—His purpose.

Random info.:
-It was also timely because when my Asus got stolen, I was on the book of Job. One of my favorite verses is  ”The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.-Job 1:21”
-I had my Asus as a gift during my debut last 2011,thus an answered prayer as well. "Lord, pwede naa koy magamit para sa videos sa Bible study? bug-at man gud ang laptop." (Lol.the irony of life. I had a heavier Acer laptop before the Asus netbook.)
